Who qualifies for a
real estate sales license?
General qualifications for getting the real estate
license are: Be a US citizen or lawful permanent resident;
show proof of bona fide residency in any state in the
US;
show proof of high school graduation or GED. State specific
requirements can be found here.
I have no experience. What do
I need to get my license?
Get started with our Sales Persons
VTS pro program especially designed to help you get
thorough test prep.
See our career center for the time line and progress monitoring.
What is the difference
between the broker and sales person?
Depends on a state. In some states you need to be a broker
to practice
independently, but in some states you can work independently
as a sales
person as well. Our VTS programs cover the needed material
for both
state exams.

VTS, Broker VTS
If I buy this Cd, do I
still have to go to a school?
Yes. Our courses are designed to ensure you pass your
exam at the first
go, but they do not serve toward course credit. We provide
online schools
for qualified states.
My license expired a long
time ago. What do I need to do?
You need to take the test again, and in some states you need to
take the courses again. We will help you prepare for the test (see
Sales VTS, Broker
VTS), but the best way to obtain information on the test itself
it to go to a state commissioners site.
If I study now, when can
I take the exam?
Depending on the state it takes anywhere between 4 and 8 weeks after
you have gone through school until you take the test. This is a
perfect time to take advantage of our test prep system and make
sure you pass your test in the first go. For details, see our Sales
VTS or Broker’s
VTS.
Are the questions in the
prep the same as on the exam?
The state exams usually have around 10 000 questions in
a pool which
the state randomly administers from a test to a test.
Our questions are
designed to cover all the material you need so that you
can cope with any
variation of the test.
See our Sales VTS,
or Brokers VTS
for details.
How often are the questions
updated?
We update our material on a constant, ongoing base. Whenever the
laws of a certain state change in such a way that they affect our
prep programs, we update our offer as well. We own the copyright
to the VTS programs (see Sales
VTS, Brokers VTS),
that way insuring we are able to update our materials instantly
when the need arises.
Are the classes state transferable?
Depends on the state. Some states have reciprocal agreements that
allow you to only take the test without going to school again. Look
at our Sales VTS
program where you can choose to study for the test of the state
you need.
I have obtained my real
estate license. What now?
You can send us your resume and we will pass it to the
brokers in your area. In the meantime, read our Up
And Running In 30 Days to get up the speed in the
process.
I’m moving to a
different state.

I want a license for
another state, already licensed in my state.

Can I pay by check?
Yes. Unfortunately we still don’t offer online payment
by check options, but
we accept checks by phone.
