| Interview tips
Now you are licensed to work as a real estate agent
(or have a scheduled test day) and your job
search has started. You already have an interview. You're
excited, but nervous at the same time.
After you built a resume that landed you the interview,
now is the time to use the knowledge and skills you
have acquired while preparing for the license. Nobody
expects experience from you when you are just starting
out, but you need to show knowledge and personality
that say you will be a successful professional. Be pro-active.
Be a go-getter. That's what real estate sales is all
about.
Remember, being a go-getter is an acquired skill. Learn how to have a winning attitude!
Be prepared to answer key questions in an interview.
Set yourself aside from other candidates.
Questions you are likely to be asked in an
interview:
1. What is a deed of trust?
2. Tell me about the role you've played in a major purchase?
3. What is a permit/license?
4. Describe pre-marketing strategy?
5. How does your experience qualify you for real estate
sales?
6. Do you have any questions?
Note that the last question in the interview invites
you to ask about the job, company or anything
connected to the profession. Don't miss out on this
opportunity! Be prepared. It's very difficult to be
prepared in advance about company specific questions,
but you can be prepared to ask questions
about deeper aspects of the real estate sales position.
You don't learn about the real life questions
in a school, that is only the foundation to your profession.
Bear minimum. How to know what to
ask? What is "real life" real estate sales
all about?
